FRC Team 5505, also known as Volts Squared, is Alpena High School's current FIRST Robotics Team, part of the Wildcat Robotics Program. The team was established in 2015, starting with an inaugural roster of fourteen members and three mentors. Since then, Volts Squared has expanded its efforts and membership, encouraging students to explore potential careers and gain practical experience in STEM fields. Our mission is to ignite student curiosity in STEM careers by providing a dynamic, hands-on robotics experience through the FIRST Robotics Competition, ultimately contributing to regional economic development and environmental awareness.
